UK Asset Pack: installation, placement & fixes
Get the supplied British street assets into your map and check duplicate props, missing models and custom YMAP placements.
Use this alongside the instructions included with your purchased release for exact resource names, supported versions and configuration values.
Start with the supplied layout
Keep a copy of the original download and start with its predefined YMAP before making your own placements. Install the full resource using the supplied instructions. The pack includes British street details such as postboxes, phone boxes, traffic lights, parcel lockers and speed bumps; use the release contents to identify the exact models available.
Missing objects
Check that the resource starts without errors and that the model assets and map placement files were uploaded together. Confirm you are looking at a location used by the supplied layout. A model file being available does not necessarily mean an object has been placed at the location you are visiting. Compare with the original layout before troubleshooting a custom YMAP.
Duplicate or overlapping street furniture
Check whether another UK street pack or your own YMAP already places an object at the same coordinates. On a test server, enable one placement set at a time to identify the duplicate. Keep the asset models separate from decisions about where to place them; do not delete model files just to remove one duplicate placement.
Making custom placements
Work on a copy in CodeWalker and use the actual model names from your package. Check each object’s position, rotation and height. Follow the official map-creation workflow for recalculating extents, flags and any required manifest after editing, while preserving the release’s supplied structure. Test the saved placement in FiveM, not only in the editor.
Floating props or unexpected behaviour
A prop that floats or sinks may need its placement checked against the local ground. Test collisions with a pedestrian and vehicle and compare the same model in the original layout. Visual street assets should not be assumed to provide a parcel-locker inventory or other scripted interaction; check the product contents before treating a missing interaction as a fault.
Before opening a ticket
Send your purchase reference, installed version, affected model name if known and coordinates. Include a screenshot and say whether you use the supplied YMAP or a modified one. Describe whether the model is absent, incorrectly positioned or conflicting with another placement. Do not upload log files.
