Vantage Point Ramps: installation & troubleshooting
Check the six police and highways observation ramps, motorway access and compatibility with your existing road maps.
Use this alongside the instructions included with your purchased release for exact resource names, supported versions and configuration values.
Install the original release first
Back up your server configuration and use the complete purchased resource before applying any custom changes. Follow the package’s locations and resource names. The release provides six motorway vantage points; verify the supplied locations rather than assuming every motorway has a ramp.
Check each location
Visit each supplied ramp on your test server. Walk its surface, drive up and down at low speed and check the transition to the hard shoulder. Test more than one normal vehicle before concluding that a ramp collision is wrong; record which vehicle and approach reproduce the issue.
Road surfaces, barriers and collisions
If a barrier blocks access or the ramp intersects the road, compare with other motorway, roadworks, terrain or barrier edits disabled. Change one resource at a time and reconnect. A conflicting road layout can change the surroundings even when the ramp resource itself starts correctly. Do not remove unrelated collision files from either package.
A ramp is missing or appears late
Confirm the full package was uploaded and check for startup or streaming errors. Compare the same approach with a second player. Record whether the ramp never appears, appears only nearby or disappears from one direction. Include the exact location and viewing distance so the team can investigate the right placement.
Keep custom changes reversible
Retain the stock placement and asset files. If you change a location or height in an editable file, test the original layout again before reporting a product defect. A custom ramp placement may also require reviewing its relationship with the local road and other objects.
Before opening a ticket
Provide proof of purchase, release version, location, screenshots and your road/map resources affecting the area. For a driving issue, include the vehicle and exact route used. Tell us whether you reproduced the issue with the original files and other local map edits disabled.
