UK Textured Speedbumps: setup & placement help
Install the red and black variants, work with the editable YMAP and diagnose duplicate, floating or missing speed bumps.
Use this alongside the instructions included with your purchased release for exact resource names, supported versions and configuration values.
Check what the package supplies
Start with the included predefined YMAP and the unmodified red and black speed-bump assets. Keep all supplied model and texture files together. Use the release instructions for its resource name and installation details. This is a map-asset package, not a scripted speed limiter.
Verify the supplied placements
Check startup errors and visit locations in the supplied map before making your own. If the resource starts but nothing appears at your chosen spot, confirm that its YMAP actually places a bump there. Compare the original layout with any custom placement resource separately.
Add or adjust a placement
Use the editable YMAP in CodeWalker and the model names supplied with your release. Check the road surface, rotation and height for each bump. Recalculate the relevant map extents and flags after edits and follow the map-manifest workflow for your resource. Keep a backup before replacing the tested original layout.
Floating, buried or duplicated bumps
Compare the object height with the actual road surface used by your server. Another map may change that surface or place a second bump in the same spot. Disable the competing placement on your test server and reconnect to compare. If the UK Asset Pack is also installed, inspect its traffic-calming placements for overlap.
Vehicle behaviour or missing textures
Compare both variants using their original textures. Drive over the same bump at a controlled speed with a standard vehicle and then the affected vehicle. Vehicle handling and approach can influence the result; do not assume the asset guarantees a particular speed reduction. If the visual model is present but a texture is wrong, restore the complete original package before changing file references.
Before opening a ticket
Include your purchase evidence, version, variant, coordinates and screenshots. Say whether the supplied or a custom YMAP is in use and list other road or speed-bump packs at that location. For collision reports, provide the vehicle and repeatable approach. Log uploads are not accepted.
